Elevated work platform training covers the safe operation of scissor lifts and boom lifts: the mobile platforms used to get people and tools up to work at height. Pegler is adding EWP training; register your interest and we will tell you when it opens.
About this course
An elevated work platform (EWP) is a mobile machine with a platform that lifts workers to a job at height: scissor lifts, boom lifts, cherry pickers and similar. Under Australian WHS law, operating a boom-type platform with a boom length of 11 metres or more is licensed high risk work (class WP); shorter booms and scissor lifts do not need a high risk work licence, but operators still need training and evidence of competency before they use one on site.
Pegler is adding this course to its list. When it opens, the page will carry the course outline, what the training and assessment involve, and how to book.
Who it is for
Maintenance, construction, mining and industrial workers who use a scissor lift or boom lift to reach the job, and employers who need trained operators on site.
What it covers
The course outline will be published when the course opens.
