Who we are
This website is operated by Pegler Training & Resources Pty Ltd (ABN 39 681 241 547), trading as Pegler Training & Resources. Privacy questions go to glen@peglertraining.com.
We are a training business based in Western Australia. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and when you deal with us, what we do with it and how to get in touch about it. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
When you request a quote, we collect your name, phone number, email address and, if you give it, your company or site. We also collect what you tell us about the training you need: the courses you are interested in, who the training is for and roughly how many people, where and when you would like it, anything else you add, and how you heard about us. The quote form sends your contact details to us as soon as you complete the first step, so that we can get back to you even if you do not finish the form. When you use the contact form, we collect your name, a phone number and an email address, and your message. If you call or email us, we keep a record of the conversation. If you go on to book a course, we collect the further details needed to enrol you, run the training and record the result.
We do not collect payment details through this website.
Someone else's details
If you are booking for your team or for a client, you may give us other people's names and contact details. Only do that if you are authorised to, and let them know you have passed their details to us and that they can read this policy. We will use their details for the training enquiry or booking and nothing else.
How we use it
We use your information to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote, arrange and deliver training, keep the records that training requires, and contact you about the training you asked about. If you register interest in a course that is coming soon, we will contact you when it is available. We do not sell personal information and we do not add you to a marketing list without asking you first.
Where it goes
Forms on this website are processed by our website host, Netlify, which stores form submissions and emails them to us. Netlify's servers may be located outside Australia, including in the United States. Email to and from us is handled by our email provider. We do not otherwise disclose your personal information to anyone outside the business unless the training itself requires it (for example a partner training organisation or a licensing regulator), you ask us to, or the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back to us. Training records are kept for as long as the law and any licensing or training requirements say they must be.
When we no longer need your information we delete it or de-identify it.
How we protect it
This website is served over HTTPS. Form submissions are stored by our host behind login-protected accounts and are accessible only to us and to Pixelate, which builds and looks after this website for us. Emails and records are kept on password-protected accounts and devices. No system is perfectly secure, so if you believe your information has been mishandled, contact us straight away.
Cookies and analytics
This website does not use advertising cookies and does not track you across other sites. Our host may collect standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages you visit) to keep the site running and secure.
Accessing or correcting
your information
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. Email glen@peglertraining.com or call 0448 865 770. We will respond within a reasonable time and will not charge you for making the request. If we cannot give you access or make a correction, we will tell you why.
Making a privacy complaint
If you think we have mishandled your personal information, email glen@peglertraining.com with the details and we will look into it and respond. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top tells you when it was last changed. The current version is always the one on this page.
